Many of you are familiar with the problems related to a weak pelvic floor:
Urinary leakage with physical exertion, coughing, sneezing or laughing
Increased frequency and/ or urgency to urinate
Decreased sexual function or pain during intercourse
But did you know that a chronically tight pelvic floor can cause the same problems? And Kegels (common exercise for strengthening) can actually make the chronic tension worse! Like any muscle in your body, you want your pelvic floor muscles to be strong AND flexible so that can contract AND release with ease.
In this 2-hour workshop you’ll learn about the anatomy of the pelvic floor, how to engage and relax these important muscles and how to use them effectively during yoga.
And remember: a healthy pelvic floor is equally important for men and women!
